The MP Design situation
When I was six, I went door to door asking neighbors to buy whatever I decided to invent or create that day (Don't worry, I don't do that anymore). Ever since I can remember I enjoyed creating just about anything and everything.
The first creations I sold (that people actually wanted) were things I knit. At the age of 10 I was a speed knitter. I knit against the world's fastest knitter from France... and I am not even kidding. I continued to sell my knit creations in junior high and high school to friends, family, and friends of friends. After signing up for painting 1 in high school, I immediately fell in love with the art of painting. I continue to sell other forms of art as well, but mainly my paintings and paint classes.
I am the owner and artist of MP Design, a local art company in the Twin Cities. I work to inspire creativity in myself and the world, create a vibe of creative confidence, and encourage artists to paint outside the lines and let go of boundaries.
I believe we are not losing our creativity as we grow older, but we may be losing some creative confidence, so I continue to push myself and the world to find the energy and space to get creative!
